Eric Roberts (leading actor) did perform well (not great though) in a number of movies, in the FAR past of the eighties and nineties, but these days... The bad: Eric Roberts went into oblivion pretty soon after the nineties and is now only to be found starring in these sort of absolutely terrible B-movies. Mind you, I am a real fan of a good B-action movie, provided there is SOME level of acting quality and provided there are a lot of good shootouts or fighting scenes. But this movie has got nothing to offer the action movie fan. Not even 1 great fight or shootout. Lame from start to finish. So bad, that it's painful and cringeworthy to watch...
Eric Roberts never has been a terrific actor, but at least he did perform well in a number of good movies, in the FAR past, but these days... The bad: the brother of Julia Roberts, who is still successful, although not as big as she used to be. But her brother went into oblivion pretty soon after the nineties and is now only to be found starring in these sort of absolutely terrible B-movies. It was not a bad movie considering the small budget. It seemed like a British version of Smoking Aces but with a different motive for the hitmen. Overall the pacing was a but slow and there wasn't much action through the film. However when the action did take place it was nice and added to the movie without being pointless. The narrating was a nice touch as to keep you up to date on who was who. The characters were a mixed bag. The motel desk clerk was a bit much and her absence wouldn't be noticed as she didn't add anything to the movie. The dynamic between the main characters was a little cringy but it worked. The male lead was a little infuriating at times and made you want to slam your head against the wall. The hitmen did fine as being convincing with the exception of the trio. Hard to take that group as a serious threat. Overall the movie was fine if you go in to it with low expectations. Don't be expecting a blockbuster but enjoy it for what it is.
This movie has so many narration setup on every Hitmen introduced in the beginning, it got so utterly boring after 15 minutes of it, I had to fast forward each scene just to get to the point of the story. It's just too much detail and info that we don't need. I feel an amateur director at work here. It's like the director is trying way to hard to show his audience his styles and trademarks, but it's just not good enough. Then there's the pacing of this story and the music too, it's almost purposely wanting to be slow paced so every mundane details of each scene is captured and conveyed to the audience. Also the use of slow motion is just overkill, it just ended up being one boring movie with countless overdrawn scenes it never needed to tell the story. I realized this director's trademark is being anal. Yep, director may think he's making art but he's really making the audience bored to death! The trailer was good enough to hook me in because I really like these genre of hitmen movies, like Collateral or the classics Leon: The Professional and La Femme Nikita. Comedy or drama, I just want to see how the action scenes look like, the choreography of fight and gun scenes. This movie had none of it. Just one boring scene after another. You can be good anal, but pick the right scene to do so because nowadays the audience gets bored and lose their interest really fast! 5 stars only because a few scenes made me laugh but I'm being really generous here.

Good movie!

Eric Roberts is a B actor at best but lowered his colours on this piece of trash. I kept watching hoping it would get better but unfortunately it went the other way at a great rate of knots. If I could give a 0 I would have! I'm totally puzzled by the higher rating this has received and wonder if some were done by Cast & Crew to reach this height. Certain actors should have given up at the peak of their careers and not pushed on serving the viewing public with this rubbish. I rarely give a review bit when a movie is this bad something had to be said to save some of the unsuspecting public the pain of watching this.
I couldn't even sit through half of this drivel ! I don't know what was worse, the acting, the dialogue, the plot or the fact that somebody considered this ready to be viewed ! I can see somebody put a lot of effort into trying to make this work and used as many cliches and cheap locations as they could think of but it misses the mark in so many ways ! The characterizations are weak so the actors have little to work with and clearly have no experience to draw upon so none of the characters are believable or interesting ! The scenarios are just childish and you need to ignore far too many plot holes, oversights and obvious mistakes that it makes the entire thing ridiculous. Add to that poor acting and deafening over dramatic music which is clearly intended to create atmosphere but just makes the entire experience really annoying and I really couldn't take any more ! Is this how modern cinema is going now, just taking a single sentence plot and padding it out for almost 2 hours with an almost endless string of ridiculous scenarios using the smallest budget they could drum up and packing in lots of third rate locations to keep costs to a minimum ? Or do they really think this was a worthwhile effort ?
Who funds this garbage? A fifth grade drama class could write and direct a better movie. I can't even call this a B-film, it would be an insult to every B-film ever made. This nonsense should be studied at film school on how not to make a film. Writer and director Savvas D. Michael should find another hobby, because filmmaking is not it. There is zero redeeming qualities to this film. It had a terrible and cheesy score, horrible cast direction, a slow, cliched and dull story, and the decision to narrate such boring nonsense made it even more annoying and cringeworthy. The acting was horrible, and creating all these annoying, cliched and phony characters will have you eye-rolling so much you'll want to stick pencils in your eyes. 1/10 is generous, and if any film deserved a zero, this would be it.
