Didn't care for the story as it was boring and drawn out. Not much to do with Christmas; this could have taken place any time of the year. As for the The Wizard of Oz reference - that's all it was - with some various lines and similar names thrown in for good measure. Expected more from a movie boasting about a spin from such a classic!

I'm actually shocked to see so many negative reviews. I've watched some real snoozers so far this season with The Christmas Aunt leading the pack. Surprisingly, that has a better score than this movie. It's almost as if someone has a vendetta against Candace Bure and is purposely trying to knock her off her pedestal. I can't see any other reason for these mean spirited reviews. Be that as it may, I enjoyed it. I was so happy not to have to witness another tree lighting or making of gingerbread houses or building snowmen. It wasn't a shove Christmas down your throat kind of story. Just an enjoyable movie all around.

A story based on the Wizard of Oz with characters taking on the "fears" of those famous figures from the much loved book and movie. The message of helping those in need, especially in education, is a necessary goal during the holidays and 365 days a year. It was an enjoyable movie with a message of giving even if we have to conquer our fears to make it happen.

Most of hallmark movies are corny but have a decent story line that keeps the movie interesting for my wife and I to watch together. This movie was a big let down, the story was boring in this one and I was able to predict the "plot twist" half way through the movie. This one should be gone with most other things in 2020 never to be spoken of again.

I really, really enjoyed this movie! Candace and Warren were fabulous and had great chemistry. I found them very believable and enjoyable. I highly recommend it

I have watch almost all of the Hallmark Christmas movies this year and recorded some of my favorites and that being said If I Only Had Christmas is by far the best of the season! It's also Candace Cameron Bure's best of her 8 previous Christmas movies and I am at a loss why there are so any nasty reviews other than they must have hidden agendas and don't like her!! A true review should based on the film not the actors personal life style but strictly the film. I found this movie to have great acting by both the main characters as well as great chemistry. There were so many funny scenes (bar one was my favorite) as well as all Wizard of Oz symbolisms. It was also well written with a different twist of most of the other Hallmark Christmas movies and that is why I have given it a perfect 10!!

I'm a huge Candice Bure fan, especially her Christmas movies. This was a BIG disappointment. This top couldn't end fast enough for me. I couldn't relate at all to the characters and found it boring. I love Wizard of Oz but this just didn't work. Sorry but I will not be watching this again. I'll keep watching all of Candice's other Christmas movies.

This wasn't the best movie. However, I was a huge "Wizard of Oz" fan when I was little so I basically treated this movie like a game. My mom and I would point out every single "Wizard of Oz" reference and laugh or roll our eyes. THAT is what made this movie more bearable to watch. Haha

This movie tried too hard and didn't quite make it. In an attempt to parallel some elements of the great film, Wizard of Oz (great writer, Herman Mankiewicz), the storyline became disjointed and too awkward for the viewer to re-assemble. The two stars are for the scarecrow character which was fun to compare with the original, Buddy Ebsen portrayal and lines. This was a decent idea that was poorly executed. I'm not even sure it was a decent idea. because the WoO is largely considered a Thanksgiving movie. I would not recommend If I Only Had Christmas.

I also saw the 'Wizard of Oz' connection (which became more obvious as the story progressed) Darcy Gale (Dorothy Gale) from Kansas (City). Also, the usage of CCB's line 'great and powerful Austin (Christie),' and the red (dancing) shoes, were all literal 'grabs' from Oz, and there are more. Unfortunately, that connection couldn't save this HM presentation. CCB, as usual, is great, and I love Warren Christie ever since I saw him in Hallmark's "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (2008)." A very fine actor. The story, though, was very porous and not entirely what you'd expect from a Candice HM movie. On the positive side, the supporting (NYC) cast was very enthusiastic and helped the story, what there was of it, along. I gave it a five, basically a 'yawner' except for the dog. Darcy's dog (I call him Toto, too) was excellent. And very cuddly.
