Una commedia piacevole, che consente di riflettere anche se con leggerezza
Light optimistic comedy. Sometimes even deep analysis on man-woman roles in this world. And not vulgar at all. Happy end included. From the title I expected a banal Hollywood teen comedy with under belt humour. After the trailer I decided to give it a chance. It's no easy job to play a middle aged woman with that little problem. And Audrey Dana made her work just great. Can be highly recommended to relax after a hard day.
Not going to sell this high...it's a pretty silly film. But also challenging to without trying to hard. It's an stereotypical movie about a French woman getting a * and balls and understanding how some things come...literally...with the package. The movie for me deserves a 10/10 because its undervalued in a culture were we are raised on only seeing one side of the gender role problematic. It's a much humanistic view of how the world is.
"Si j'étais un homme" tells the story of a single mother who, one day, suddenly awakens with a * between her legs. This incident leads her into a crisis of identity and she has to face some challenges when she falls in love with the man of her dreams and has to handle a moody best friend and an overwhelmed doctor. The film is pretty much what happens when you ask for a typical portrayal of a man at a bachelorette party. It consists mainly of stereotypes about both men and women and uses the worn-out question what a woman would do with a * to add some spice to a rather basic love story. It is entertaining and it doesn't have lengths but I find it a bit problematic to approach the topic of gender roles by bringing back all the stupid stereotypes that every bad comedian's program consists of. Maybe you could argue that the film supports fluent gender roles, which I support but all in all I rather get the picture that the * was a selling point and the equality maybe not so much an issue or why has to be a naked woman in the end but no naked man? The small twist before the credits was nicely done, though. All in all this movie is not very creative. You can give it a watch if you want to switch off your head for a while and get entertained meanwhile, but don't expect greatness in humor or thought.
Bad bad movie. No Action. Just an histetic women. A boring history. Very boring movie.
A woman (Audrey Dana) wakes up with a *. Who hasn't imagined what it would be like on the skin of the opposite sex, even if just for a day? Well... not Jeanne, newly divorced and separated from her children every two weeks. But one morning, her life is about to take such a funny turn that at first glance, nothing has changed... except for one thing! Some punctual criticisms for this little comic comedy... The woman suffers because of the men and as a reward (punishment) she grows a dick, hey?!? From the middle to the end an unnecessary and misogynistic inversion of value, regular balance, could have reached a new aspect, despite having had its own revenge, reasonable, where masculinity hurts more, in his sexuality...
