A mediocre thriller from 2022. Subject is familiar. A family going camping in the woods and a child trapped at home. There is so much missing. Why is the child being held there, who are they? The man fell into a coma because a jack handle was thrown into the other man's arm. Are these Americans too stupid a nation to put a stone under the jack? And there is no "I've had better days" answer to the "how are you" question? It makes me feel like hitting the mouth with a shovel. It was a decent movie. Those who died did not care about the rest.
Total crap. The actors can't act? When your the movie only to recognize that actors can't even perfect being in the frenzy. Budgeting has almost nothing to do with this, clumsy mother, who can't even focus and overdoing the panick mode and turning her back on the very first thing you wouldn't when afraid, the door.
I mean talk about bad acting! Probably one of the worst movies I've seen. Had to turn my face and keep forwarding. Goodness wonder who financed it - so evident actors cannot act even a bit. And the real talent struggle to get movies. Wow!
What others have said has truth to it. However we enjoyed it and yes I have fun with every movie including the big dollar production, finding the inconsistencies.. The plot was good, the acting was also pretty good and you can get engrossed enough to identify with the character. We could watch it again ...
I went into this with an open mind, knowing it was going to be an "innocent-camper meets dangerous-backwoods-nutjob" kind of movie--and it was--however, the plot moved along quickly, keeping my interest throughout, and I must give recognition that I never knew exactly who the bad guys were until the end. I recommend this movie to anyone looking for a suspenseful, fun movie that will have you yelling at the characters for their cliché horror movie mistakes and reminding yourself why it's important to always camp in official RV campgrounds.

A family opts to get away in the forest. Grandpa drives them to a remote location. The owner of the land tells them they must leave ASAP. Circumstances prevent that and grandpa gets injured and needs to go to the hospital and the vehicle is stuck. The daughter goes to look for help and discovers a creepy family. Not Texas Chainsaw creepy, but creepy enough. This results in deadly confrontations. The script never gave the actors a chance. And what few chances they had, they phoned in. Just a me-too cabin in the woods film that misses the mark. Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.
Just more stupid people running around in the woods for no reason. I just wanted them all to die so I could get on with my life. Man...this was God aweful. Do not watch !like I did. Director and all involved should be ashamed.
