Stunning movie to discover more about reality of things. You're not alone... Your music is beautiful and touch our hearts everyday. It was awesome to discover the back stage of everything and the making process. It shows that fame is not just luck or else ; it is also lots of sacrifice and hard work. Finally it is fine to say that mental health has also an impact on any type of work and despite success and fame we can have this part of our life. Doubts creates so many feelings. But doubts also allows a lot of us to become stronger in the long run, it teaches us on how to survive. I think therefore I am. Lewis is a life lesson by himself.

Not even a big LC music fan (soz LC love u) but a real fan of him & his personality so was excited to see the documentary. The way the whole docu navigated his journey, discussed his mental health and the perspectives of his friends and family was so so great, really enjoyed hearing about the thoughts and experiences behind the music and during the writing process. Went to sleep and had a dream about chatting to Lewis about walking my dog via shaving messages into hairy armpits and sending them him. Literally that's the effect he has on people. Love u big Lou (do you want to walk my dog with me she is big and full of slobber a bit like you) xoxo.

Music Documentaries typically have two kinds; insightful, deep, and entertaining or shallow, predictable, and promotional. Somehow, this is all of these things and so much more. And each is totally unexpectedly bought out in this carefully crafted documentary about singer/ songwriter Lewis Capaldi's rise to fame. With only the briefest hints of how deep this experience will be, we are guided through Lewis early days as a kid to playing in the family kitchen to pubs to sold out arenas. You think " good for him- he got his dream..." then at the height of his fame, 2020 slams everything to a halt. Like so much of us, the pandemic was a pivotal moment for Lewis's life. We start to turn the page and dig deeper into what game is really like. How getting all your dreams coming true is a double edge sword. The insight that comes from those around him and Lewis himself is direct honest and raw in places. You begin to see how big successes come with massive pressures, both from outside forces and within his own mind. Lewis's mental health starts to decline as the pressure mounts and we see the deep that he is affected. You are all at once sucked into the chaos unable to look away, cheering him on, cussing at people applying more and more pressure, and standing in crowd singing along. You want to protect him at all costs! His family and friends give you the real backstory. His parents are all of us parents supporting your kid and their dreams while trying to protect them at the same time. You see the struggle for Lewis. You see the struggle for his parents. You see the strong bonds and you see the heart felt emotions between them. AND you see them taking the piss out of each other. There were definitely laughter through tears. Don't get me wrong... you have the contrived bits that sound out a little too much. The tricks and bits that seem to go hand in hand with a music documentary. However, Lewis's humor and sheer force of presence make them easy to overlook. Hell, half the time he is poking fun at them too. It makes you love him all that much more. As a new fan and a mother of sons, I appreciate how open mental health is talked about and how you see the progress and setbacks. You really understand how fame and life collide to create a storm. The management and portrayal of the concerns tries to paint how Lewis feels at those moments. You get a true sense of how difficult it is to move past them. You get to see how songwriting can be a pain in ass. Albums are a complicated weave of so many people's perspectives. If you are like me, you will get pissed at several comments heaping more pressure on and saying callous things as Lewis tries to find his way to the perfect songs. I did some colorful cussing. You will be moved if you have ever struggled with mental health or know someone who has. I was kept from ugly crying by Lewis's sheer force of will to keep moving forward. My son, who was 8 at the time of his first therapy session, struggled and seeing a way forward is a fight in and of itself. Bottom line: Lewis's talent is undeniably brilliant, his humor is infectious, and the movie a solid hit. As his dad says "he (Lewis) can see humanity, that darkness, and vocalize it..." and he does it with a wink and a smile and songs that will get stuck in your head!

THE most refreshing, thought provoking, transformative documentary I've seen a famous artist release. Our young people so desperately need more content like this! The positive impact a documentary like this has on shedding light on REAL issues people face in our society is powerful and bold. Lewis, sharing your journey with others is courageous and something many truly admire. Keep doing everything you're doing, you are a truly remarkable human being! Watching this sheds light and hope for change within our society to shift prioritising our mental and physical health above all else. I commend you Lewis and hope more people in the public eye follow suit!

I mean what a class documentary! Although it was serious and sad, it makes you love him even more. My parents watched it and had the same reaction as his mum n dad to his new songs, 'not his best work' Must be a Scottish parent thing, I told them to GTF! I've preordered the new album in vinyl and CD cause I know it'll be THAT good! The journey that wee lewis goes on with regards to his mental health will really resonate with people of his age and younger, he's using his voice to talk abit things that aren't all glamorous but that are real and I take my hat off to him for it! Class act all round! Moan the Lewis!!

First of all, I want to say how much I love your music. Wish You The Best is one of your best songs ever written - this far of course. Secondly, I really loved how your documentary came out and how real you were in it. You were dealing with so much emotionally and I am so grateful you continued on with your journey. You have done so many things at such a young age. You are a true inspiration! Keep on keeping on, you beautiful man! Well when I watched this, I didn't think I could love this guy anymore. Lewis you are an inspiration to a lot of people including myself. Your music is amazing and never ever doubt that! Every song gets better each time. It was also hard to watch you go through everything with your mental health. But you Lewis are amazing, your music is out of this world and I will never stop listening to them. Next step is to try my upmost best to meet you! It's like getting blood from a stone though. Can't wait for the rest of the album, please keep the music coming Lewis Capaldi we love you and your music.
