Good movie!

Too many superfluous backstories spoil the broth of what should have been a sweet story of a girl coming out to her family over the holiday. There were a few patches of comedy, but not enough to truly merit a great rating. The leading lady, Jenna Laurenzo, who is also a first-time director, was decent in the lead role of the girl coming to grips with her sexuality. Decent, not great. If you're looking for a LGBT film that truly is on point I'd recommend "Imagine Me and You" (2005). It stars Lena Headey and Piper Perabo. And it is much more charming than Lez Bomb.
Coming out is a personal milestone. First one needs to come out to themselves, followed by carefully or selectively coming out to others (when they are ready on their own terms). I was appalled that the love interest kept pushing and at times even forcing the main character to come out to her family. I was absolutely horrified. There were funny parts, but the forced sexual identity disclosure took away from satire.
Watching this movie feels like playing a ring toss for an hour and a half without getting it on a bottle. It is frustrating and reallyyyy poorly acted.
It does put a smile on your face...just go watch the movie.
This should have been a short film. I understand the importance of coming out and the chaos that it could ensue to family ties, but this could have been way less dramatic. I actually didn't finish and just sat in silence so I could enjoy th quiet.
This fim reached out to me on a personal level. Being a lesbian myself and watching someone else go through the ups and downs of trying to come Out to a family who actually really doesn't listen and the frustrations of that. It was funny, touching and a feel good movie. The acting was good and I just enjoyed the whole movie. There needs to be more movies like this out there.
Relatable, heartwarming, and fun movie. A great light watch for families, especially around the holidays. The cast is super impressive and everyone does a really great job portraying the characters. There are some really funny moments and overall the storyline is so relatable, which makes it really enjoyable. I had a smile on my face throughout!
