Overacting is so typical in anime and yet no one is bothered by it, while here it's somehow "annoying". I'm on different side, as I see people's acting more valuable in it (and, apparently, much more hillarious). Yes, there're dumb jokes, if it's not obvious from the poster, yet Hamabe Minami is motly on point and works great. The only weird thing for me was the end and the struggles these 4 went through in it, kinda weird resolution to it.

Sensei Kunshu is another teacher - student movie. I kept waiting for something to actually happen, but, unfortunately, it didn't. The highlight of the movie was the leading lady, who was adorable and a girl straight out of the manga pages. Her acting was really good, as she had to overact every scene. The other characters were okay as well. The couple, however, lacked chemistry. Plus, the love story overall was missing the intensity ingredient and felt flat and just one sided. So, all in all, the movie was just okay. Notable surprise the song by TWICE in the end.

A very big disappointment for the director and lead actress after the very enjoyable "Let me eat your pancreas" and "My little Monster" . While these previous movies were delicate, emotional and very well acted, Sensei Kunshu is empty and grating. Hamabe Minami overreacts and overemotes to every situation, as if she was instructed to mime the cartoonish poses of manga characters. After a while, her bad acting really gets on the viewer's nerve. The romance does not go anywhere (as one would expect with a teacher-pupil crush), the comedy falls flat. I struggled to finish watching this film and finally stopped before the end. Not recommended.

It has the typical manga style of over the top acting, which can be pretty funny if it's incorporated into a movie with the right dosage, but in this one the main girl's goofiness is way too much and it gets tedious about halfway through. The girl just becomes annoying instead of cute, because she has nothing else to offer. The movie also has zero emotional depth and there is no chemistry between the characters, which makes the experience even worse. Granted, there are a few very funny scenes, but overall it's pretty soulless and uninteresting.
