WOW! - if you are like me, and saw the trailer and thought, Wow!, this looks good, I can't wait to see it- then let me save you some $$ - -- The trailer and the actual movie don't match up at all-- and I mean that in a negative way. trailer looked awesome // movie was Horrible. I don't even know where to begin. --It dragged and dragged and dragged. Made absolutely no sense, I kept looking at the time to see if it would be over soon. It was so boring/nothing scary- did I say how boring it was? It was boring. I can't believe I waited with anticipation and excitement to see this, only to be bored to death. It was like watching a wall with fresh paint dry- only someone came in and put on a fresh coat of paint halfway thru so u have another hour of boring paint to watch dry. ( which would be more exciting than this movie ) - I have no idea what I watched. -- I can't believe how many people reviewed this movie basically saying the same thing/ but rated it high , making up excuses for the high rating just because it's a Jordan Peele movie. - That kind of thought process on rating a movie needs to stop - because this movie is a 4- at best. -SAVE YOUR MONEY, this was NOT worth going to the theatre - *shoulda been direct to Netflix or Hulu (but they probably were like)--" "NOPE",,, we don't want to be associated with this garbage !!! "". LoL.

Wow this movie is bad! I like 'Get Out' and thought 'Us' was decent, but THIS... Oh man, this is just bad. Nothing is connected in the very bland ending, all the characters are unlikable except for Kuluyaa's essentially mute character OJ (character literally has 10 lines of dialogue). Also, not sure why it's being called a horror movie, there is little to no suspense, let alone horror. The most "horror" part ends up not even being real. Skip this, it's just bad and boring. Not even a crazy twisty psychological ending, one thing that Peele is known and (was) praised for. Not sure what the hell happened in the writer's room with this one. A true shame. Damn. I have been a part of IMdb since 2011 and I have not written a single review until 'Nope'. That's how bad this movie is. 3/10.

I gave into the hype to go watch this on the big screen -- big mistake. This is one of the worst movies I've watched in a long time. There's no continuity, no story, no character growth, nothing. They foreshadow things that they never follow up on. Characters do things that are completely unexplainable. I cannot recommend this to anyone. Avoid.
