One must read about Jins and Ibris before hitting the theater for this one. Anushka has played very well as a protagonist. This is the first bollywood horror movie which terrified me. Would definetely recommend this moviebetween my friends and colegues.

Pari has garnered below average reviews, which I think is a bit harsh on a project which rather attempts to bring in a different horror genre to Bollywood, with kudos to Anushka for her brilliant acting and trying out yet another new theme under her production. Parambrata does very well in these good guy roles, for a change I quite liked him here, Ritabhari Chakraborty of "Ogo Bodhu Sundari" teleserial fame also made a mark in her Bolly debut. Rajat Kapoor and Dibyendu Bhattacharya (the morgue worker) are very convincing too. The music and background score need special mention as it reflected the mood of the movie throughout. The scare scenes I felt did not work that well sometimes (make-up of the KalaPari looked cliche), and yet at some other times these scenes were timed to perfection. Overall, it is worth a watch on big screen, particularly being of horror genre but with a humane angle, some viewers may have an issue with this different take on horror, but Bollywood is slowly going where Holly has far traversed in terms of content. 6.5/10

PARI - Be happy Horror movie fans. For me PARI is 'the' very best Horror movie made in Bollywood ever. Again it's not conventional at all. It's very well researched , very detailed , very emotional , romantic , gory , violent , bloody , little comic and yes SCARY. But to state first , this is an 'A' CERTIFIED film , and it's well earned. There were lots and lots of scenes which shouldn't be seen by children , weak hearted persons and specially pragnent women. That being said , for the above points it's a very daring film. And m so thankful to Anushka Sharma for producing this film and also for casting herself in the great role. Also I am very thankful to the team for shooting the movie in Kolkata which looked gorgeaously Haunted . Anushka Sharma as a producer has a Keen eye for unique projects . And this one is her third consecutive home run as producer after NH10 and PHILLAURI. The director ignored all the clichè Bollywood and Hollywood horror movies have. Everything feels unique in the film. Same as it was in case of Phillauri. It was totally unpredictable. U can't expect what is gonna happen next. Yes at first you get a little irritate about the fact that why a group of people are trying to kill Anushka's character , but you will get your answers in the 2nd half. As I said before its not a conventional horror film. There were many things in the movie apart from the scary part. The love story is very emotional. Some social commentory too. Also some comic relief. The violence is extream and there were many extream scenes of Exorcism too. The director didn't hold any of his punches , which made me very happy. It take guts to do such scenes. Now the big question , Is the movie scary ? And the answers will be a Satisfactory Yes. It doesn't try to scare you always as I said there were other themes in the movie too , but whenever the movies tries to scare you , it does it successfully. Acting performance were exceptional all around with Anushka giving one of the best performance of her carrier (Award Worthy Actually). Direction is very controlled , which is rare in horror genre. Sound effects were very good. Keep you on the edge of your seat. And the cinematography was just waow. One complained would be the forced song (just one) which was not needed. But it won't bother you because it's not too long. You can't miss this film. Watch it on big screen. 8.6/10 By ANuP APu KuMaR

My Rating : 6/10 'Pari' is an intelligently told horror film. I wasn't expecting it to be as awesome as it turned out. A great storyline which genuinely embraces its horror premise with sincerity and does justice to the script. I highly recommend this film to fans of horror and hope you give it a chance.

Anushka's acting was amazing and the story was also very good. The screenplay however was weak this film could be a lot better if made properly. It didn't start very well but then it gets grasping. It's worth watching one time
