Everyone making these new reviews are blinded by nostalgia. Only 3 of the 30-40 jokes were funny. Also why was there flossing? This is on modern Family Guy levels of funny. They just hold on the reactions or constantly repeat the exact same jokes. Also the movie mostly sucks and is unmemorable. The only good songs were the end song and the song that played when when Perry saved them from the falling tower. I liked that they were bringing the Replace with the nearest chicken-inator but they over used it. However the effectively introduced major elements major to the plot. I my opinion everyone is just blinded by nostalgia and doesn't see how this is on modern Family Guys levels of funny (it's not funny at all) so 2nd Dimension the best Phineas and Ferb movie in my opinion.
It's amazing to see how even after all these years phineas and ferb retains its charm. It's just so great to see the gang back together again
This film took what the original show did and put it to a whole new level; it stuck to its roots and did a damn good job at it. The plot, songs, comedy and characters are so rich and alive with feeling and emotional impact. While I'm not a critic, I've seen my far share of badly adapted tv show movies and this is not one of them; this is one of the best, if not the best. This film brought me so much joy and happiness seeing these characters I grew up with go through a whole new adventure with an appropriately sized Disney budget. I'm pretty sure that this is one of the only feature length films in the last few years that's 2D animation, not 3D (something that I'm happy about). Overall, I'm blown away. Despite not having worked on the show for 8 or so years, Dan and 'Swampy' manage to tell and engaging, happy, funny, deep and meaning story about the struggles of the whole universe being against you. Absolutely amazing, 10/10
I have a confession to make. I actually became a fan of Phineas and Ferb while the show was in its fourth and final season. I was already in my late 20s by then, but somehow, the series really got to me. And one of the characters I related to most was Candace Flynn. I mean, sure, she seemed to be painted as somewhat of a villain because she constantly wanted her brothers to be busted, but she also had some sympathetic qualities. And also, Ashley Tisdale always gave a hilarious vocal performance every time she screamed "Mom!" So after the show ended, of course I was excited that a new movie based on the show would be coming to Disney+, and that Candace would be heavily featured. So far, I am on my fifth viewing of this movie! It is definitely that good! Obviously, having Candace be the center of the film was a great idea, and Ashley probably gave the performance of her life. I also really love all the callbacks to the original series, especially all the cameos. A discussion about Phineas and Ferb would not be complete without the songs, and once again, they knocked it out of the park, with highlights being "Such a Beautiful Day", "Adulting", and "Us Against the Universe". But what stole the show for me was Tiffany Haddish appearing as "The Sound Someone Makes When They Explode from the Waist Up" (which just so happens to sound like someone saying Candace's name), and every time it happened, it just kept getting funnier and funnier. Well, I know what I'm gonna do today: Watch it yet again.
Love this movie . There beginning was rushed up but that loved that movie. Nice Edit: sorry i just realise that i mistakenly give bad rating.
This movie is straight garbage, it takes what you love about the show, the gags, the characters, the stories and it ruins all of it. The animation is bad, it looks like they might of outsourced it or something, the pacing is so bad, at the beginning everything is rushed and then in the middle everything is slow, I mean painfully slow. Multiple gags feel like they exist just to stretch the time lut and save money(they are the same shot, and nothing very complicated happens in the shot, same background, the character's might speak or one or two things within the frame will move and nothing else). I don't understand how this is rated so high and how critics gave it such a good review. Do yourself a huge favor and don't watch this, go rewatch Across the Second Dimension, don't let this movie ruin your childhood. I also feel as as if I left cons out so here's a few honorable mentions: unfunny humor, terrible music(yes in a Phineas and Ferb movie), Bajuelt sounds off, things happen for no reason at all. My rant is over... I am beyond disappointed with this movie.
Good. My kids love it and it was nostalgic for me.
