Watch at your own torture.. I tried to see if it had it, but it was too slow, bad acting, and darn right boring for the first 40 minutes and I decided to check here, and yep, this movie is rotten. It is the worst modern day made western ever! Watch at your own torture.. Four siblings, three brothers and a sister, though somewhat estranged, wind up combining forces to take down a ruthless cattle baron who fancies himself a card shark and a shoo-in for governor. Apparently, William Slade's (George Nelson) been their target since Travis Royal (Kellen Garner) and his sister Lucy (Alexis Moeller) were teenagers, though no mention is made why it's taken them so long to seek revenge for the murder of their mother and another sister at the hands of Slade. The other Royals, Pete (Aaron Ginn-Forsberg) and Brody (Chade Green) were older, and when it's revealed that Pete was a U. S. Marshal, the question becomes even more palpable. Nevertheless, the film isn't as bad as some of the earliest reviewers here make it out to be, though to be honest, except for the production values, the picture would have been at home with most of the B Westerns of the Forties and Fifties. Not a bad thing if you're a fan of the genre. P. S. If you're looking for the film, it's streaming on Amazon Prime as I write this, but you have to search for it under the title "Road to Revenge".
Royals' Revenge is a classic tale of payback and redemption, in a dirty and lowdown manner that you would expect from 1800s dusty, trail wary cowboys and cowgirls. With a few twists and turns along the way, you will be kept guessing at what will happen next. I think it's way better than the rating it has gotten so far, 5.7 at the time of my review, and I'm a big fan of westerns. The story is heavy on character development, and the cast performed beautifully. To be honest, I had never heard of any of the actors, but I'll be watching for them in the future. If there ever was a movie to support the old expression, "blood is thicker than water", this is it!
Terrible. It could have been good if it wanted to be but they had to be cutesy and had to go for laughs and it really ruined it.... nothing looked like an old western.... the woman looked like she was just out of the modern dressing room trailer it's a shame. Looks like nobody took it serious, every worn out cliche including tired dialogue. The woman is a smart Alec. A constant Cajun guitar twang plays throughout the movie. Very irritating. Poor casting, but the woman was to much to tolerate. She is like 120 pounds acting tough. Tiresome!!! When she was at gunpoint, she gives smart azz replies. God!!!!!!
I can't agree with the other reviewers here, I enjoyed this movie. Is it perfect, no but what movie is? It's entertainment and this movie is entertaining! That's it's job and it does it's job well. I found the humor, very well placed and the acting is, for the most part, well done. The props, wardrobe, locations are not perfect but definitely are acceptable. I caught a few things, such as Travis' gunshot wound to the arm seemed to heal awful quick, and not sure how Lucy got some kind of chair to sit on the first night after capturing the bad guy, but still the mistakes are few and far in between. It's a good story that's well acted and enjoyable to watch and that's what westerns are supposed to be. Nice job folks!
The worst props I have ever seen in a western. I don't think that the production team have ever seen a Western before. Modern cigarettes, pipe, skin-tight jeans on a woman and whitened teeth only to mention a few. Good cinematography until action scenes where the camera person could hardly keep a face in view. Pathetic story.
