Good movie!
Highly disappointed with the rating this movie has achieved on IMDB... Its at 3.7 now... I know Parineeti has her ups and downs when it comes to acting... But, that doesn't make this biopic anywhere as bad as the ratings suggest. She has given it her best. The Head coach Rajan and Supporting Mom n Dad, the boyfriend etc... Have done a good acting job Its the story of Our Very Own #SainaNehwal ... Our Indian Sports Hero that has achieved much more than any other INDIAN badminton player has EVER (both Male and Female) achieved. She has been bestowed with 4 NATIONAL AWARDS for Sports. The least we can do is ignore the acting glitches and give respect to the hardships our very own player has seen growing up... & also the efforts the filmmakers and supporting roles have put in. Its an approved biopic by Saina Nehwal... So it definitely isn't some baseless story. I give it a 7.5 outta 10.. But definitely not below average, like many have given it 1 star... Which is unbelievable... #Kudos to #SainaNehwal... For her achievements.
Wonderful film, good depiction of the character of Saina Nehwal; authentic acting by Parineeti Chopra! A must watch with family, especially parents.

I love watching the inspirational biographical movies. I went to see Saina in theaters today with my friend and we both loved the movie. What all I loved: 1. Amole Gupte's direction is excellent. 2. Naishaa Kaur Bhatoye as young Saina is extraordinary. It felt as if she is the actual Saina Nehwal in her younger days. 3. Parineeti Chopra as Saina Nehwal is brilliant. She has applied herself and it is seen. It is not easy to play a LEGEND but kudos to Parineeti. 4. Manav Kaul as Saina's coach is remarkable. 5. Meghna Malik, playing the role of Saina's mom, is fabulous. She has expressed the emotions really well. 6. Subrajoti Barat as Saina's father is also good. The emotions between Saina and her father is depicted beautifully. 7. The first scene where the young Saina wins the match sets the tone of the story right. Her parents struggling to enroll her in the badminton coaching class is realistically shown. The first half is dedicated to the young Saina. Few scenes are very emotional. I literally cried in the first half. 8. The second half aptly shows her struggle as a professional badminton player representing India at the highest level. 9. The final match between India and Spain is terrific to say the least.
The Parineeti's acting has taken down the level of entire movie yet again, after "The Girl on a Train". Bollywood again delivers a failed biopic. Please save your time and don't watch this movie.
Boney Kapoors useless kids + Parenita + Abisheik Bachan, Ritesh deshmuk, these and many nepo-kids are making the industry bad, lets only watch holly wood movies and independent actors movies. Rubbish movie.
After doing lots of brainstorming for searching positive about the movie, yes movie title is good. Actress trying hard to look like Saina, but missing her class and skill completely. Another bollywood junk.
Firt the Girl on train and now this... Pathetic Acting really. Parineeti should give in to more exposy and glamorous roles than trying to do acting.
The movie keeping aside the dismal performance of the Parineeti, also fails to showcase the role of Pullela Gopichand as a coach. I think his name is not even mentioned and is played by some other imaginary coach. Her mom gets more coverage than coach . Probably Saina forgot her roots and okayed such a script. Weird. ...
