Worse than a midday movie. Cliched and boring. Lift your act Netflix
As a nurse, the first 30 minutes of the movie made me laugh. Nothing about it was remotely realistic! Not sure if they had a doctor or nurse on set to ensure accuracy, but they failed miserably. Couldn't watch anymore.
Before I even started watching the movie- I knew it was going to be predictable. That's not what bothered me. I gave it a 2 because it had some mildly entertaining scenes- but no matter how hard I tried- I couldn't stop finding holes everywhere. The opening scene caught my attention, so I gave it a chance- but the longer I watched it- the more ridiculous it got. To be honest, I finished the movie just to see how many mistakes or holes I noticed. Who was the guy bringing flowers? Why did he have to die? Why would the detective even be called in for a car accident with witnesses and reports? Why was the exact scene on the security tape so easy to find? Why did the detective mention that he intended on giving her the note back at the hospital when he clearly found the note long after she was discharged? How could a a husband and a wife die and no one think to check in on them? They didn't live miles away- they had neighbors! And the new husband- no family at all? No one is concerned that everyone in this girls life just goes missing? So many careless mistakes just made this movie almost comical. It's surprising that anyone found this better than just okay.
I watched it, thinking that there would be something MORE than what the trailer showed... cause the trailer showed a LOT, it basically gave the whole plot away!! I really watched it thinking there was a bigger twist, but alas.. there was none. There's things that I I didn't like: Loose Ends: There's a character who was portrayed as evil, identity shrouded in Mystery.. but the movie ended without explaining WHO that character was, background story, ANYTHING. Heroine is suddenly a lock-picking master. Heroine, limping and all, can sneak up behind the villain without issues. Dumb detective doesnt call for backup when confronting the Villain, despite knowing what he is heading into. No twist, no nothing. It is a story you would expect from start to finish. [Spoiler[ The Villain's action during the start of the movie was questionable.. Why was he super confident in claiming he was the husband when he got to the hospital, when he didnt know yet that the girl lost her memory? Had she not lost her memory, he would have been caught in the hospital right there and then. Thats just.. weird. The good points: It kept me watching throughout the entire movie.. maybe because I was waiting for a twist that didnt come, but it still kept me watching.
