Would definitely watch again! Great writing and a fun performance made this a treat, which I I don't always expect with Indy film. Moves along well and had plenty going for it for me to give it a 10/10. If you appreciate irreverent fun with a dose of weird you're going to enjoy it!
This film is quirky and hilarious! Production quality for an indie is top-notch, with some notable performances (especially Nate Panning as Rick). Plus, gotta love a cameo from Corey Feldman! I understand that the film might not be for everyone, but the trailer matches the film... Spot on, enjoyable, craziness. Have watched twice and it's on my list for a third viewing.
Bad acting. Some scenes are so stupid it is actually frustrating. Good name & Plot tho. I feel like it had potential tho. If you like B movies than give it a try. Least it was free.
A comedy with absolutely no reason or point to make. It's good to see slapstick is still alive and well, embodied by these mostly unknown actors trying their very best, which that makes it that much funnier. It reminded me of the very stupid comedies of 15 years ago, like Big Nothing or Weirdsville. Silly humorous impossibilities to pass the time and get a few yuck yucks.
Rick the pizza guy is the best part of this movie, bloody funny. The rest of the cast were good but he was the standout. Just a good casual movie with a lot of laughs that doesn't take itself to seriously. Highly recommend.
The plot follows Garret, a young man who has taken his love interest hostage after he accidentally killed someone. You can immediately tell that this wasn't filmed with a big box office budget but the writers make up for that with some not-so-subtle humor. The jokes, at times, get silly to the point where you might lose faith in the writing but they seemed to pull me back in after every one.
It was a hilarious and pretty good black comedy. Probably not for everyone though. But I enjoyed it a lot, compared to all those "comedy"-dramas they make these days this movie was like back in the day when a comedy was a comedy with lots of laughs. That's why it got 10 stars from me.
I saw Suicide for Beginners, starring Wil Daniels-13 Days, Mile Marker Seven; Sara Tomko-Resident Alien_tv, Once Upon a Time_tv; Nate Panning-Well Wishes, Piranha 3 DD; Julia Lehman-Narcos:Mexico_tv, The Burning Dead and Sid Haig-The Devil's Rejects, Diamonds Are Forever. This is a dark comedy about suicide and murder. Wil plays a man contemplating taking his own life because of his girlfriend, Sara. You see, she cheated on him. Wil starts fantasizing about different ways to do himself in but then he decides to kidnap Sara and bring her to his basement garage as an audience. He ties her up, of course, so that he has a captive audience but then Nate-the pizza guy-shows up and things get more complicated. Nate leaves but makes the mistake of telling his girlfriend Julia about Wil and she wants to bake Wil a cake. Nate and Julia end up getting tied up and seated in the garage, too. Sid in his final movie appearance-he died in 2019-plays Sara's landlord that comes looking for Sara and.... well, the garage starts getting fuller. Things get bloodier when nosy neighbors enter the picture and Corey Feldman has a short but funny cameo as one of them. It's not rated-NR-but it contains bloody violence and language and has a running time of 1 hour & 34 minutes. I enjoyed it and would buy it on DVD.
This is a dark comedy, nothing more and nothing less. Title maybe out there but at the end of the day the world has forgot how to laugh. This is fun and wierd and some of the other characters are just as fun. I cannot see half of the complaints are about. It is worth the watch and even though it can be lacking in substance in places it kinds reminds me of a 80s classic comedy. The whole set up is morally wrong but then so is life at times. The fact the movie demonstrates that you can get information from anywhere these days is very factual. Watch the movie u may even find yourself laughing.
