Good movie!
The movie is so connected to our roots The movie is very good from the beginning itself. You don't have to wait for the climax to see the best part of the movie. A 10/10 for this sweet family drama which shows a Hindu Brahmin culture throughout the movie. This movie did not do much promotion but I insist everyone to watch this movie to see Bollywood can also male good Hindi cinema. The story is based on a new concept and everyonw will love it. The songs are also good. Every actor has done great. Vicky Kaushal is Powerhouse of great acting. Yashraj is known for making family drama movies. This movie successfully achieves the standard of Yashraj Films.
A deeply emotional, symbiotic dual story-line that touches on the topic of religion, mainly Islam and Hinduism to say the least about it. There are good moments that enthrall the viewers. The acting is done very well from the cast and it really is about family, the bond they share, the ups/downs, and everything in between. Truth is, people have such narrow beliefs and views. Also, Hindus have very extremist views, and are Islamophobic, as such brings this movie into play. Without saying much about it, if only people knew the truth with a capital T and not the customs and norms attached to it. The family that stays together, prays together, shall fight trials together...
This movie reminds me of the good days of Bollywood that I grew up watching. When hate wasn't preached through movies. Instead the movies were a combination of fun, entertainment and love spreading messages. Sadly the today's filmmakers have fallen down to a hatred selling formula to make their movies hit. Understandably, the so called critics gave it a lower rating as they have to save their faces considering the current environment. The film couldn't do well in theaters considering the current environment. But the audience of the internet has expressed their likeness for the movie clearly through IMDB ratings and reviews.
I enjoyed watching the movie more than the usual Bollywood films. It's not a great film, but good enough for one to enjoy. The movie has a fun and family-friendly aura. It tries to concentrate on the relationship between the father and the son. The execution could have been better. The writing was a bit poor when it came to direction. The topic in emphasis and family relations could have more screen time. It does make an impact if you focus on the message. I wish they had focused more on the subject than the songs. The female lead and few supporting actors felt like a waste in the movie and didn't make a major impact throughout the film. I like the message that was portrayed in the film, a bit controversial for the orthodox audience but a great message. It tried to hit two targets with one stone, but the stone took too much time to reach the targets. Please, do watch it if you want to watch something different than our usual movies. It's a bittersweet emotional rollercoaster movie.
Everyone must watch this movie, especially the time we're living in with so much hate towards other communities. The latest YRF film is a genial and gamely comedy that stays above stereotypes. Writer-director Vijay Krishna Acharya addresses the rising hate-mongering in society with a deft touch. All I can really do is be surprised at the fact that Vijay Krishna Acharya got the green light to remake Dharmputra; he got to hire a cast and crew; he got to film everything; he got it past the CBFC; and it's now running theatrically. An Awesome, thought-provoking movie. Go watch without hesitation, you won't regret it.
Good make movie this only i think what happened if the hero was muslim like srk or Salman too much people tolding boycott but the male man of this picture use brain very smart. Song not good to listen bad song new heroine not some thing new may be she do more picture after watcher like. Some shot how show some man wrongly use religion like when they catch one muslim man and told we are anti majnu people. This picture bring hindu muslim close each other with truth . Vicky perfect shoting the role. Chopra many year before make such picture of hindu muslim but gotten banned same story but adding comedy. Good picture watching not bad idea.
