What's wrong with scriptwriters these days? Can't they write even the most basic of conversations without using swear words? This could have been a decent show but for the appalling script. Many times in the middle of a sentence, someone would just start swearing without any reason whatsoever. Are people in the real world like that? Thankfully I mix with people who have brains, so I wouldn't know. The dialogue in this show is dreadful. Conversations are continually peppered with gratuitous swearing. Thus completely breaking the atmosphere. I just can't watch this kind of rubbish. Children who have just found out that theres an offensive word starting with F. What do they do? The use it without knowing what it is or means because they know it shocks. But they don't know why. Children quickly grow out of this. Unfortunately in the modern TV world, especially on sky TV shows, the adults still behave like children who want to shock people. Would someone go into their bank and ask for a loan or overdraft using swear words? Would an adult walk up to a policeman and start swearing? People can actually moderate their language and hold a coherent adult conversation when they can be bothered. Its time that modern TV worked this out. Then again its cheaper to hire third rate scriptwriters who haven't got the brains to express themselves in words without swearing gratuitously. Then again, it's time that viewers worked out how substandard these sort of shows really are.
This is an interesting, intelligent, human spin on a time travel action story. Well written and acted. Isn't it odd that shows with a diverse cast are the ones that get bombed with bad reviews? Ignore them.
Has a believable cast with an outstanding story. Pacing was good with an interesting and multi leveled plot. Made an account just to show my support for more quality sci-fi.
This has all been done before in one way or another...no investment in characters...plot was predictably a mish mash ...Caroline Aherne as an M character...do me a favour...enjoy it if it'syour thing but 1 episode was enough for me...
Its a very compelling premise, with okay acting, and fairly bad writing/directing. Some of the character reactions are weird. There's an occasional injection of a weird progressive perspective. Overall, it's okay. The plot will keep you interested, but there are moments where most people will find it stilted or annoying.
Ignore the stupid negative reviews. One of of best British sci-fi's in years. If you love the idea if time travel, if you love twist and turns watch this show.. all the way to the end. Great TV.
What a pleasant surprise. A very entertaining sci-fi show about a kind of time travel, something I don't remember seeing before in other shows or movies. All wrapped up with lots of action and twists. Binged it in 2 days and can't wait for a 2nd season. I won't waste time talking about acting and lightning, frankly when you enjoy something you just do, and as a sci-fi fan and time traveling shows, this one is just good fun. It's not perfect but if you read the plot and think, mmm this sounds interesting, should I try it, I think you should, try 2-3 episodes, it's worth the time in mu opinion. And if you don't like it, just press reset, and get you 2 hours back...
3 rating for effort. The concept was fairly good. But from episode 4 onwards, loopholes starts to bug the logic even though it's fiction. The point is that basic movie plot plausibility is lacking. The lead character George behaves like he is casually and nonchalantly full of hesitant doubt in most matters and yet he can suddenly transforms into a super fighting and killing machine agent when it suits the situations. Essentially, he's a wuss. Not sure if it's a suspensrful thriller of spy vs spy or Johnny English on hiatus. Chatting and flirting when transporting the BBoy with supposedly dangerous company takes the cake. Get a room already. I'm not gonna turn back time. That's Cher's prerogative. Either fast forwarding a few more episodes to see how this implodes or set the checkpoint here. Yup, lost glory indeed. Poof!
This is not a sci-fi series, lets start with that assumption, only then it would make some sense. They got good actors, bad direction, they keep dragging small boring parts of series with more useless flashbacks. There isn't good enough motivation for characters to go so bonkers. That part never made sense. Acting is good, so sort of would work good as a dumb fantasy series.
This could have been really good, but no in my opinion the first 2 episodes were right this could be good, but dip in episode 3 and I got bored and really want to delete the rest of the episodes but I stayed with but it did not get any better in my opinion.
