Good movie!

Sometimes you just want to sit back and have fun. The Paper Tigers brings the fight scenes, the humor, the heart. We loved this film and want more. The cast is diverse and talented. Carter, spouting off Cantonese words of wisdom, is hysterical. Hing's physical comedy is spot on. If you have a dobok or judogi hanging in your closet from earlier days, watch and enjoy. It's a story that will have you thinking about forms and sparring, with a gentle warning that your groin and muscles may not be able to hack it these days. Loved this film!

Why I need to watch such a movie after all these years. Okay, this type of movies are made several times. Like finding a bad guy who is disgrace to martial arts and killing people, yeah we all have to get together and try to knock him out. The movie seems bit funny at first but then the story turns out be common type of movie which had been made 100 times in past.

Really fun movie about three middle aged guys. Matt Page is awesome in this as well. Every father should have the exact conversation with their son like the phone call in this movie.

The fighting was good, acting was good and comedy was actually funny. How is this movie boring? Don't listen to the bad reviews. If you like comedy and martial arts and not rated R stuff, this movie is for you.

As with any movie, there is no objectivity in enjoying and rating a movie. With this one you have to be in the right mind set, but also have love for the quirky fun this delivers. It is strange and unique and has many other things written all over it. And you can also tell how much love they put into making this. The cast is perfect, the dialog is so much fun ... the structure works with our main character and his journey ... but all the other characters are more than fine too. So many jokes, so much fun, so many hints and nods to martial arts movies (not just from the 80s) ... and really good stunt work. Action choreography is amazing and a message I reckon most people will agree with ... aging with Grace? Remembering the way that ShiFu has taught you what to do ... I have as much love for this as the people involved in making it had - or rather have. If this sounds like your cup of tea (no pun intended), go for it! You will not be disapointed.

The film is billed as a comedy, which it is not although it is light at times. In the opening we see a murder as Sifu Wong (Raymond Ma ) is killed by a superior fighter. We then flash back 30 years as Sifu is teaching three disciples. They become good fighters, but then life happens. The story centers mostly on Danny (Alain Uy) who has become a divorced insurance adjuster. The film consists of the three tigers attempting to hunt down the killer, one who knows "poison fingers." I guess if you have seen enough Kung Fu films, you might consider this a spoof, although I have a hard time separating the spoof from real even with Chris Farley in them. We do see a family theme and one of keeping your word. Too bad they tossed in one written/translated MF word.

This is a very enjoyable film, and very well done too. If you are 35+ and did martial arts when you were younger you will love this. Credit to the actors in this.

Plenty of solid funny parts and the martials arts stunts were well done. Story was a little bit overblown and the movie was a tad longer than it needed to be. Worth watching if you like martial arts films though.

Its about a 7.5 IMHO. Standard base story we've all seen many times before (in stuff like Perfect Weapon, etc), but with the whole 'got old' brand of humour thrown in. Anyone who knows any kung fu will recognize many of the things that are lampooned gently, but it never gets mean in its humour, instead being quite respectful with the treatment of its subject matter. Casting and characters are good, fight scenes were entertaining, and generally it was well paced. Better than any of the last few Karate Kid movies.
