Really horrible songs ruined this for me. I had to keep fast forwarding every time a song popped up which was too often. The story is pretty good- a pampered dog had to find a new home when his owner dies. The problem was the actors who did the voices of the dogs weren't that great. It just didn't have that Disney/Illumination 5 Star appeal to it.
I enjoyed this movie! It was so cute and kinda reminded me of Open Season + Life of Pets combined. The entire cast fit their characters very well and there were alot of humorous moments. It is something that the whole family can enjoy!
The movie was merely a series of clichés and stereotypes. The characters conveniently act abnormally only so as to advance the story - a trait of a terrible story teller. Neither of our kids (10 & 8) even giggled once. The animation was "fine," not excellent. I've seen worse movies, but not many.
This is just bad I cant write anything else. None of the characters were charming or had any good dialogues. Just weak weak script.
Sure kids will watch it, kids watch anything! It's a sort of knock off of secret life of pets. It's boring, repetitive, cheap and, cliche. Don't waste your time or money!
My kids loved this movie and so did I. We watch it everyday.
My 5 year old enjoyed it - which was the reason for being there which is why it gets 6 stars. It was mildly entertaining but largely familiar.
It's a 4. That's all there is to it. The jokes are lame, the characters are 1D, the animation is a bust, the songs are 4/10, the plot is predictable, the supporting *filler* characters are meant to entertain and make you laugh but they just make you yawn and check your phone instead, the title sounds dumb while it tries to be unique, snoop dogg doesn't help this movie, and the plot is ruined by the lame jokes and unoriginal dialogue between characters. It's a 4/10. Meh.
Me and my 8 years old sister really liked this movie. reminded me of bolt at some moments (a dog who's lost and tries to find its way back home and meets a stray animal that doesn't trust humens- the comparison can't be avoided, you know?) and yet it was really cute and fun to watch.
Half of the voice talent are old pros and are great, the other half sound like a high school drama club. The animation is actually pretty good, even if the story is a regurgitation of a million other dog movies. The worst part is the squirrels. If you are curious how many times a crotch grabbing, dancing squirrel can say "Nuts" before it starts to make you uncomfortable, the answer for me was 3. But the joke just keeps coming back, over and over until you've heard them aggressively say "Nuts" so many times that you debate whether or not to just turn the movie off. My 6 year old got bored and asked if we could watch something else instead.
