Good movie!
RATED 4/10 Language: Tamil Source: Amazon Prime Formulaic village story and run of the mill presentation. Nothing original and lot of scenes test your patience. Especially the action blocks and mother flashback sentiment scenes. Lot of nice dialogs there but that is the only appreciable thing in this movie. Everything else is scene 100 times before in Tamil cinema. And curse to the director to bring back "sivakasi" Prakash Raj with his loud shouting. Aditi is OK but her body language is artificial. Karthik and Rajkiran did the same role before and dont know how they chose this script. Easily skippable one.
Muthaiah padam . As expected same Muthaiah story template , Mother , Father and Brother sentiment . This time story is based on Toxic father . Actually first half was good , it was engaging , even few places comedy worked well . Second half was totally a mess . Emotional part in second half didn't workout , especially 3rd act was totally cringe . Overall watch at your own risk .
Have been your fan for long. This movie is beyond disappointment. If felt like you hated yourself sooo much that you had to go make a movie like this. Please don't sabotage your career. Waiting for a good movie from you. Please don't break my heart 🙏🙏 I missed the fun loving Karthi and his mischievous smile. Radhika has so many feathers in her cap but this one will not add one. But nevertheless not a great lose for her. Prakash Raj maintained his usual style of arrogance and anger. Nothing new. He grinded the same old dosa batter. It's becoming sour. Please try something new. Your an amazing actor. This was not a great movie for you.
Karthi is a good actor, capable of giving so much than what he offers his audience. Somehow, we hoped that maybe this time he'll come up with a different movie. Regrettably, he didn't Viruman was yet again another repetitive film that Karthi has played many times in the past. The saddest part about movies like Viruman is the redundancy in the character designs (especially the lead actor and heroine), plot, dialogues, dance segments, score, climax, etc. We've seen way too many of this kind that another one makes it overwhelming and unappealing. Just a little touch of originality could have taken Viruman to a higher level.
Karthi is the plus of the movie, he lifts the movie single handedly, Prakashraj does the role which remainds of his previous roles. Aditi is good dancer but acting needs improve. Soori is trying his best to make us laugh, but unfortunately, we are not able to even smile for his comedies. Muthaiah should try something new. Same village story, the characters change, in one movie it is mom and son bonding, in one it is grandmom, in one it is sisters and here it is father and son. May be this movie targeted on village audience and it works out there. Just a movie for entertainment of the village audiences.
Movie is about people and emotions in real world, not the dark underground, or soaring mythology. It's about flesh and blood people and human values. Cinematic liberties not withstanding, you will feel engaged with the characters if you have not already become a machine who only cares about money and pleasures. Excellent acting, dance, action, and above all so many village proverbs that would have been lost otherwise are used as dialogues. Watch with your kids if you want them to be humans, love their relations and not live in the VR reality of technology.
A good family movie with all masala elements just an another village side story but it was impactful though, the story is a bit different not the usual one could connect with me a lot the story, karthi and prakash raj nailed it with their performances , an osm plot and cast and adithi a good debut need much more from her, the music was heart warming and bgm was top too ,kudos to uvan , but a usual story and screenplay nothing new , but the plot was different. The dance is the worst , pls jani master u dont do choreography at all worst choreography for songs but not all some r really good but mostly its awkward dancing , he did the same thing in beast which was even worse.
The acting of most of the actors was good, but the plot was incredibly weak. Why should they forgive and reconcile with a person that abused and cheated on their mother? The father of Viruman even killed his innocent sister in the most cruel way possible. And he only realised his mistakes when his own needs were met while he was dying? I don't really call that true redemption. Besides, I don't see characters like that as gray characters. He is just a bad person. Moreover, the brothers also started siding with the main character after things were done for them. These family members all seem so selfish and therefore it's hard to feel the family sentiment that they tried to potray in this movie. I'm done with this narrative in some tamil movies that you should forgive someone for all the horrible things they have done just because they are your family members. Some things are unforgiveable and some so-called family members suck and you should just cut them off. The songs were good, but we all know that Yuvan always does his job no matter what.
Mediocre Tamil movie. Worst story. Worst direction. Kindly ask Karthi Sir to choose a better film in the future. Film was too predictable. I feel asleep in the middle of the movie. The story gives a bad image to villages. Heroin's character, as usual was just for show. No big plot or anything. Fighting -mediocre as usual . Nothing new- Don't know when this gravity defying unrealistic fight culture will stop in Tamil cinema. Jokes were unbearable. Really!!! 3 hrs for a story about a guy with Daddy issues! LOL.
